I’m happy to report that ETB 8 is slightly less of a train wreck than I expected it to be. Sure, it’s ~90 percent repeats, but there are a few interesting things about it. More info after the jump.
Wow, one whole new song! Track 20, “Universe” by DJ Yoshinori, is the only brand new track on the album. Technically the Ryu* remixes of “Caramelldansen” and “Lucky Girl” also sort of count as new since they haven’t appeared on any Quake compilations yet. So, yeah, at least ETB 8 has more new material than ETB 7, which had no new songs at all.
Exit Trance Best #08 will also be the first Exit Trance to be mixed by DJ Yoshinori instead of DJ Uto (although I’m not entirely sure who mixed ETB 7).
