The second of two Geki Atsu! CDs released yesterday. Tokuma releases for April and May have been revealed, and there are no Geki Atsu! CDs among them, so I’m hoping this won’t be the last pair of Geki Atsu! releases.
An outstanding set of arrangers has been gathered for this Samurai-themed release. Ovrar, Asahi, Beat Charger, Elementas and valle blanco return from previous releases in the Geki Atsu! series. And as with the Detective edition, this one will also feature M.Sugawara (Sugano), Dizzi Mystica and Y&Co. And if they weren’t already enough, this edition also features the debuts of katsu (Akiba Koubou), Yassie and uno (IOSYS). The only strike against this album is that it only has 14 tracks instead of the usual 15.

Are these non-stop mixed still?

Yup, they’re all non-stop mixes, which is a bummer considering how much space is left on the CDs.
Still, I got the first two Drama releases and highly recommend them. I will warn that they’re a bit different than previous Akiba Koubou CDs in that there are a few slower-paced tracks. Previous AKBK albums typically ranged from 150-170 BPM. The first two Drama Euro CDs, however, have songs that drop as low as 135 BPM while others reach as high as 180. It speaks to the amount of variety present on the albums, but I realize the slower tracks may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
And the fact that I consider 135 BPM slow tells me I listen to way too much Speed and Eurobeat.
