FARM RECORDS:

The creator of "Laputa," "Scorpion," "Last Ecstasy" and many other hit songs, Oriental Space (real name Kousuke Okamoto) passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the age of 31.

He was widely loved by everyone who knew him inside and outside of the company, and we at Farm Records had our hopes and dreams connected to his existence.

We offer our deepest sympathies to the late Kousuke Okamoto, and pray that he sleeps restfully.

Dancemania EX:

Some unbelievably sad news for Mega Trance and Trance Paradise fans. Kousuke Okamoto, better known as Oriental Space, passed away on February 27, 2008 at the young age of 31. The cause of death is unknown.

He was a true pioneer of the trance music scene in Japan, and "Magical Express" was one of the songs that got me hooked on Japanese-style trance in the first place. Throughout the years he has displayed a tremendous amount of talent and contributed many incredible songs to various trance compilations. He will be sorely missed.

"Last Ecstasy" takes on a whole new meaning now. Rest in peace, DJ Kousuke.
