Exit Trance Best #10 ~Premium Best~
Release Date: 11/18/09
Price: 1905 yen
Yawn. Mostly repeats from various SATB series, UmaUma Trance, and Famitrance. Although, unless it’s a misprint, track 7 may have new vocals by Maki instead of pageco.
Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance Best The Movie 2
Release Date: 1/6/09
Price: 1905 yen
It took a while, but SATB The Movie is finally getting a sequel.
Pre-order at CDJapan.
Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance Complete Best 2
Release Date: 12/16/09
Price: 2667 yen (Regular Edition) or 2857 yen (Limited Edition)
It’s a little strange that Quake are releasing this so soon after the first Complete Best. After all, the first one had 5 albums worth of songs to choose from, but there have been only 3 releases in the main series since then. Then again, I suppose it’s possible that they’ll also include songs from Ecstasy, Movie, bitter, and BL. One of the best things about Complete Best 1 was that it had new remixes of many of the included tracks. Let’s hope the same thing happens on this release.
As with the first Complete Best, the sequel comes in two flavors. The limited edition comes with a figure and is limited to only 12,000 copies. With only a ~200 yen difference between the two editions, you might as well go for the one with the figure. For those wondering, the figure will be of Aria, one of the girls on the cover of the first Speed Anime Trance.
Pre-order the limited edition or the regular edition at CDJapan.
Exit Trance presents Famitrance EX
Release Date: 11/4/09
Price: 1905 yen
Despite the title being an allusion to Famicom, Famitrance isn’t limited solely to Famicom themes. Final Fantasy is well represented, with at least 5 tracks ranging from VII to X-2. All the big vocal themes from “Eyes on Me” to “Sutaki da ne” are covered, along with a few instrumental tracks.
Mother, Sakura Taisen, and Nobunaga’s Ambition get a healthy two tracks each, while it appears that Dragon Quest is only getting one. It would’ve been interesting if they had licensed a Bemani song by Ryu*, but I’m more than happy with him taking on the Tetris theme.
While the track list does look very strong and varied, I can’t help but be disappointed by the lack of Mario or Zelda themes. And what’s up with the random Goonies track? Oh well, still very much looking forward to this.
Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance Best 8
Release Date: 11/4/09
Price: 1905 yen
The eighth release in the Speed Anime Trance Best series. K-On! gets two tracks once again, including the lead track. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Kanamemo also get two tracks each.
After working hard on his debut album, Ryu* returns to Exit Trance with an original song sung by Maki.
Exit Trance presents Eki Tra
Release Date: 12/2/09
Price: 1905 yen
The title translates to “Station Trance.” I was looking forward to covers of songs like “Long Train Runnin’,” “Last Train to London,” and “The Loco-motion,” but apparently the theme isn’t trains. 🙁 Instead, the album will have something to do with “Hassha Melodies,” which are the jingles played at train stations when trains arrive/depart. For example, here’s “Motteke! Sailor Fuku” done in the Hassha Melody style:

Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance BL
Release Date: 12/2/09
Price: 1905 yen
44% of voters thought that Speed Anime Trance BL was not a real, upcoming Quake title. After all, Quake have done plenty of oddly themed albums in the past, but BL? Unfortunately or not, Quake have indeed decided to go there. Their latest SATB sub-series will target fujoushi and feature songs from BL anime series. Hmm, does this mean the first ever guy on a Speed Anime Trance Best cover? That should make for an interesting cover….
The answer to the quiz, by the way, is Zenbei No. 1 Telebi Trance. There isn’t an album of TV themes in the works right now.
Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance Best 8
Release Date: 11/4/09
Price: 1905 yen
Song previews are now up: http://anitra.jp/title/8.php
Track 4 sounds incredibly fast. o_O
Exit Trance presents Aerodynamic Best 3
Release Date: 10/21/09
Price: 1905 yen
Bad Boy. Yes, the Cascada song. It’s not even the Red Monster remix, but the original mix from 2004. Sigh. Oh, Quake, what are we gonna do with you?
Most of the songs are repeats from Quake Trance and Quake News, though at least there’s one new song on the album.
Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance Best Ecstasy Third Season
Release Date: 10/21/09
Price: 1905 yen
Even more trance covers of bishoujo game themes. Again, no Ryu*.
I can’t say I recognize any of the songs except for “Kimi o Nosete,” whose inclusion is pretty baffling. When I think of bishoujo games I don’t exactly think of Ghibli.
Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance Best 8
Release Date: 11/4/09
Price: 1905 yen
Quake posted an updated list for SATB 8. In addition to N.O.-SYO’s SATB debut, Ryu* will also be making his return to Exit Trance with an original song. Note that this is still not the final track list; there are at least 3 tracks left to be revealed.
Exit Trance Best #10 ~Premium Best~
Release Date: 11/18/09
Price: 1905 yen
Wow, is it really going to be 8 months between Exit Trance Best releases? Not that it’s been a huge loss, seeing as the series has been nothing but repeats for a while now. The 10th release is being given the subtitle “Premium Best,” though apparently it’s still only one disc. Songs will supposedly be picked from out of the 122 albums and 2400 songs in the Exit Tunes/Trance series, but realistically they’ll probably just choose from the albums released since Best #9.
Exit Trance presents Sagyouyou BGM Trance 3
Release Date: 10/7/09
Price: 1905 yen
The BGM Trance series seems to be MK’s domain, as he has lots of new songs and remixes on this third release in the series.
Exit Trance presents UmaUma Dekiru Trance o Tsukutte Mita 6 Doushite Kou Natta!
Release Date: 10/7/09
Price: 1905 yen
The sixth release in the UmaUma Trance series. It appears that they really have stopped the tradition of including a “Caramelldansen” remix on each release. Also conspicuously absent is Ryu*. N.O.-SYO, however, makes his UmaUma Trance debut with a trance cover of Pachelbel’s “Canon.” An odd choice, considering that there’s an existing cover by Freedom, and the song would’ve been better suited on a Trancemaster 04.
Samples can be found on Quake’s official site.
