Eurobeat 2000 ~Around 30s Best~

Originally scheduled for release on May 19 under the title, Eurobeat 2000 ~Around 30s Best~, the CD+DVD set has been delayed to June 9 and has undergone a name change to reflect it’s source material. Some retailers, including CDJapan, are reporting that the release has been canceled, however.

I think Victor Japan are officially the most repetitious label ever. Is it really necessary to have “Stay” on yet another album? This is the third time in the last two months that they’ve used the song.

A new compilation from Victor Japan collecting the best hits from 2009-2010. Tracks will be collected from Buchiage Parance, Trance Rave, and Victor’s other releases from the past year. Personally, I don’t see the point. It just seems like another excuse to push the same old repeats. :/

STAY?! There are a few new songs and remixes, so it’s not a total loss. But for the life of me I can’t figure out why “Stay” has been on so many compilations lately. The song is almost a decade old at this point!

Yay! New Kei song! Even better, it appears that “Plastic Heart” will be an original song and not an anime cover. Unfortunately, the rest of the album isn’t so new, composed mostly of repeats from Victor’s back catalogue. Some of the songs are listed as “GM Edits,” but it’s unlikely that they’ve been changed in any significant way.
Oh, and it has “Stay” by Wendy Phillips. Sigh.

Victor Japan have delayed Gal Mama Euro Best and changed the title to Gal Mama Paradise. They’ve also released some details on the track list. It appears that the CD will mostly have repeats from Trance Rave and Buchiage Parance.

Victor’s entry in the Disco Around 50 series will focus on Step music. I’m not really sure what that means, but apparently Arabesque’s “Hello Mr. Monkey” exemplifies it. The track list is very similar to Victor’s aborted Shinjuku Disco Hits release.
Trance Rave presents Club atom -The Best-

The CD was originally listed as “Club atom Vol. 5,” but the title has since been changed. This is actually a rather surprising release since Vol. 4 was released way back in 2007. I wonder what would prompt Victor to release another CD in the series after such a long hiatus? CDJapan’s description suggests that the CD will include not only trance, but house as well.

Trance Rave Best XIX

Delayed a week from its original December 16 release date. Although the CD is mostly composed of repeats from Quake Trance, there are a few new tracks by established epic trance producers. Expect new tracks from DJ Tora, DJ Ozawa, DJ Kenny, and Overhead Champion, among others.

Previously known as “Koakuma Magic #2.” I was expecting mostly euro with a bit of trance, but it seems to be evenly split down the middle. Shockingly, they didn’t take the cheap route and license existing covers for some of the songs, so there are a surprising amount of new songs.
