I guess Quake have chosen to rebrand the Aerodynamic series as Aerodynamic Best. This is actually the sixth release in the series which, in the past, has mostly featured repeats from the main Quake Trance series.

The song selection for this second Ghibli edition of the R25 series is a bit more obscure than before. That’s to be expected, of course, since they already covered the more familiar tunes on the first release.
I wonder if the R25 series will revert back to normal after this release? After all, I can’t imagine there are that many Studio Ghibli songs left to cover.

Quake have yet to release a tentative track list for this sequel to Sagyouyou BGM Trance, but you can probably expect lots of repeats from the Quake Trance series.

Non-anime trance albums in Japan are almost non-existent now. Trance Paradise, Super Best Trance, Trance Rave Best, and Exit Trance Best are all victims of the end of the trance boom. As such, there are few outlets left for the “golden age” trance artists.
The TranceMaster series remains one of the only places where you can still find new material from the likes of Delaction, DJ Kaya, and Overhead Champion. While TranceMaster 02 was a tad disappointing — far too much psychedelic for my tastes — it’s still good to see the series will continue with familiar names.

The follow-up release to Cyber Drift, once again produced by N.O.-SYO. I’m not entirely sure the world needed a second “Drift of the Wind” remix by N.O.-SYO (why not have another artist remix it instead?), but I am looking forward to his take on “AI.”

Here we go again. More repeats taken from Exit Trance albums released in the past year. That means tons of anime, “Caramelldansen,” and other random songs from their Quake’s various other series. Mixed by DJ Yoshinori.
ETB 09 only has one new song: the DJ Yoshinori remix of “Wake up the world” by La Palma feat. Love Mark. He did a great job with “Summer of Love,” so this new remix is one to look out for.

Cinema Trance looks to be as exciting as expected. Around half of the tracks also appeared on Speed SFX, so one could consider this a sort of spiritual successor.
Ryu* only has a single song, while B.U.S. and MK have three each. I’m strangely intrigued by what MK will do with “Phantom of the Opera.”
Quake will also be using a handful of repeats from European trance artists, which means the lackluster “Neverending Story” and “X-terminate.”
