Mega Hits “Anison Festival” mixed by Doumu Narita

This anison cover compilation was released last December and was apparently mixed by Doumu Narita, an Olympic snowboarder. Details are a little hard to come by since it was released by a small label, but it’s supposed to have 25 songs produced by Akiba Koubou.

CDJapan won’t be carrying it, but it’s available at Amazon JP and HMV Japan.

Another release in Akiba Koubou’s Anison Cover Mix!! series. 25 tracks are scheduled, and so far most of the announced tracks are repeats. One of the interesting new productions will be a cover of “Say No!,” which was released by Exit Tunes as a single last year.

Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance Best 21

The first SATB release of 2014 has just been announced for an April release, which puts the series on track for 3 or fewer releases this year. Bonus items include a strap and a bath poster. Track list details are scarce, though the official site mentions 20 tracks are scheduled.

Apparently it launched last November, but I only just noticed that Starving Trancer now has an official website up at www.starvingtrancer.com The site has a rather extensive discography, including stuff he’s released outside of Exit Tunes. They kind of gloss over his contributions to Exit Trance, though.

His most recent non-Another Infinity song, “Fall of Gust,” is pretty awesome piano trance. I’m glad he’s stayed true to his roots and hasn’t become Starving EDMer.

Digital compilation from FARM Records meant for early winter driving. This is a nice selection of 20 tracks for 900 yen, but one of my biggest peeves about FARM’s digital compilations is that they often feature repeats from other digital releases, so you might end up with the same track multiple times. -_- Also, for some reason they use radio edits of Daiki x ZK songs, even though the duo often post longer edits on Youtube.
