New compilation from FARM Records. CDJapan’s description says it’ll be a “Hi-Speed BPM Mix,” even though DJ Roc the Masaki is known more for his house megamixes. There’s no mention of how fast the BPMs will be, though I’ll be disappointed if their idea of hi-speed is 160 BPM. -_- The early track list is interesting, at least if you’re a fan of 2012 pop. Expect around 35 tracks total on the final list.

7th release in the digital series, which collects fulls versions of songs from various FARM compilations. Oddly enough, this one features many songs that have yet to appear on CD compilations, though I’m sure they’ll be repeated endlessly soon enough. 11 new productions in all.
Featured artists include FARM mainstays like Minimum Cox, i-deal, and Daiki × ZK. I’m still curious as to who Straight Flush is, though. The alias appeared on Super Best Trance presents Natsu Trance 2007 and 2008, then wasn’t heard from again before suddenly reappearing on FARM’s house compilations in 2012. If they’re one in the same, then I wonder if it’s an alias for a J-Trance producer?

On this day, exactly 5 years ago, Kousuke Okamoto passed away at the young age of 31. Better known to trance fans as Oriental Space, Kousuke was a true pioneer of the J-Trance scene and his presence has been sorely missed. It was listening to “Magical Express” all the way back on the first Trance Paradise that got me hooked to J-Trance, and I wanted to take a moment to remember him.
If you’re a fan of J-Trance, you owe it to yourself to get the tribute album that was released to honor his works. Disc 1 is a megamix of his most famous works, while Disc 2 features remixes by Japan’s top epic trance producers.
