Debut single from the FARM Records international boy band. It’s exclusive to Tower Records and features a scant two tracks. I was hoping they’d commission some remixes by FARM producers.
You can visit the official website for more info on the boy band.
The fifth release in FARM’s highly successful J-Pop Cover Densetsu series, which has sold a combined 500,000+ units. It’s been a while since J-Pop Cover Densetsu IV, which came out in November of 2011. Mixed by DJ Fumi*Yeah!
Wow, it’s been a while since the last release in this series, K-Pop Party Mix III in March 3, 2012. The K-Pop boom in Japan appears to be fading, and how does Japan celebrate a fading boom? With a Best mix, of course! There will be new tracks, however, including the debut of “Gangnam Style” to the series. There’ll be 50 tracks on the final list.
Well, this is a surprise. The Anime Nitro series hasn’t seen a release since 2010. Although previous releases had J-Core artists like kors k and Redalice, this new entry looks like it’ll have repeats from Anison Joshibu and Majokko Disco. Hopefully they’ll have J-Core artists remix the songs, otherwise it won’t live up to its “Nitro” name. The two Evangelion tracks look like they’ll be newly recorded, so I don’t think this will just be straight repeats.
EDM Anthem II
Release Date: 7/24/13 ? 8/14/13
Price: 2190 yen
The second release in Universal’s EDM Anthem series. The track list is decent, if a little heavy with mainstream acts. Sebastian Ingrosso’s “Reload” is pretty amazing, though.
There’s more info at the official site. I really wish they wouldn’t set their videos to auto-play, though. -_-
Quake will once again be present with an Exit Tunes booth at the 84th Comic Market, where they’ll be selling exclusive merchandise. The event runs from August 10-12. There’s a big emphasis on the Yuyushiki anime this year. They don’t even have as much Vocalo or Utattemite merchandise as they have in the past.
Item #1: C84 Limited!! TV Anime “Yuyushiki” Original Picture Book. For 1,500 yen you can get a picture book featuring art from the anime, “Yuyushiki.” The book is 164 pages long, 8 of those being in full color.
More merchandise after the jump. There’s also a PV for the goods. At around 4:24 you can hear snippets from the new Another Infinity feat. Mayumi Morinaga song.
Sekai de Ichiban Natsu ga Suki (Single)
Artist: Allover
Release Date: 7/31/13
Price: 1429 yen (CD+DVD Version) or 952 yen (CD Only Version)
4th single from the Akiba Koubou-produced idol group, Allover. Features the OP theme from the anime, “Mahou Sensei Negima!” The single will come in two editions, a CD+DVD version and a CD Only version.
Sequel to Kaji ga 100-bai Hakadoru High Tension Song Best, a.k.a. Top Cheer Up Songs (House Keeping Edition). The track list mostly consists of pop songs from the ’00s and ’10s, but not much related to Dancemania this time around.
Available on iTunes Japan and other digital services.
EMI’s Drive ga 100-bai series continues with a new entry focusing on female vocal pop. Judging by the track lengths, this won’t be a non-stop mix and will instead collect full versions.
The latest release in the hugely popular DJ Kaori’s Mix series, which has sold over 4 million copies over the years since its debut in 2005. You can visit the official website for more info on previous entries. A lot of EDM tracks on this one.
