Some retailers are now listing this is “Kamikyoku Selection” instead of “Shinkyoku Selection,” which I guess makes more sense. Anyway, samples are available at the official AHP website: http://www.animehouse.jp/ Some of the arranges are nice, but “Moonlight Densetsu” is sadly disappointing in the vocal department.

Volume 6 features songs that people in their 20s and 30s should remember from their childhoods. That means hits like “Odoru Pompokolin” and “Cha-la Head-cha-la.” “Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger” doesn’t exactly count as anime, though.

The theme of this release is “Great Friends,” or popular anime themes that people in their 30s grew up with. That really doesn’t make sense, though, since Lucky*Star was pretty recent. And Kamen Rider isn’t even anime.

Oh boy, how does one even begin to explain this series? I think Denpa no Sekai explains it better than I ever could:
Yokohama-based @n-Guilla Sounds and their intense project ????ww (Mega Denpa Ha Ha!) is something that definitely deserves your attention. Between October 2009 and July 2010, the new circle/group/label will be releasing one 10-song album per month, for a total of 100 songs in 10 months!
The schedule has been thrown off a bit, so don’t expect them to release all 10 albums by July 2010. But yeah, they’re planning on doing 100 anime song remixes, with genres ranging from Happy Hardcore to Eurobeat to House to Rock to Jazz to… well, you get the point. Each album’s song selection will be based on a particular theme. The theme of this first release, according to the subtitle, is “Elementary Level Compilation ~ My First Anime Song.”

FRECKLES! Pretty solid selection of anime tracks, and the samples up on YouTube sound pretty good. The CD will be available at Sakuracon this weekend. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until April 5 to order the CD from the official Disko Warp website. The iTunes release will come even later, in May. Unfortunately, the iTunes release will be limited to the US only.
On a related note, Speedisko Vol. 2 was supposed to have been released in March, but it looks like it’s been pushed back to a later date.

It’s been a few months since the last AHP release, but the series returns late April with this third release in the main series. Pretty interesting track list so far. Most of the tracks haven’t been too overused, with the possible exceptions of “Moonlight Densetsu” and “Joint.” Of course, those two songs are awesome, so we’ll let them slide.
Note that the listed artists are the original performers. The cover artists are not yet known.
Disko Warp presents Speedisko Hyper Anime Trax

Update! The title has been changed to Disko Warp presents Anime Love Hardcore.
Disko Warp will be releasing a collection of high-speed anime covers this April. The only confirmed track so far is “Zankoku na Tenshi no These.” Thankfully, Pete has also promised that neither “Sousei” nor “Ponyo” will appear, so at least we’ll be spared from those again. There’ll be 10 songs in all, and the album will be available in both CD form and as a digital release.
Disko Warp presents Speedisko Vol. 2

Update! Originally scheduled for March, but it looks like it’s release has been delayed April or later.
Second release in the Speedisko series from Disko Warp records. Vol. 2 will be another digital release and will come out this March. Five tracks have been confirmed so far, though there’s no word on how many tracks will be included in all.

Huh, didn’t expect this to be another Vocaloid compilation. Looks like this willl be similarly themed to Quake’s “Speed Anime Trance Best Ecstasy.” In other words, remixes of Bishoujo and Eroge themes.

An updated track list has been revealed for Anime Nitro 2. Punk Dirty Channel are back, but the producers of the other tracks aren’t yet known. The list looks pretty solid so far, avoiding the usual anime standards (“Aquarion,” “Zankoku,”). Okay, it does have “Tamashii no Refrain,” but most of the other tracks aren’t too overplayed.
