Disko Warp will be releasing a collection of high-speed anime covers this April. The only confirmed track so far is “Zankoku na Tenshi no These.” Thankfully, Pete has also promised that neither “Sousei” nor “Ponyo” will appear, so at least we’ll be spared from those again. There’ll be 10 songs in all, and the album will be available in both CD form and as a digital release.

This anime remix compilation came out last December, and is notable for including some Akiba Koubou remixes. I believe all of the songs feature the original vocals.

Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance Best 9

Quake put up a page for SATB 9 with half of the tracks listed. Starving Trancer, MK, Hommarju, and DJ Kyon-C are among the announced artists so far. Disco da gama, who made his debut on R25 SATB 5, looks like he’ll be a regular Exit Trance producer.

Anime House*Hit Parade!

The debut album from B.U.S. features a number of anime standards. For the uninitiated, that means “Sousei,” “Zankoku,” and other overexposed songs. Sigh. I am looking forward to “Discotheque,” “Uninstall,” and “Naraku no Hana,” however. And most of the vocals will be done by cherry and mamiko, so at least they’re not reusing the same old vocals. I’m wondering if this’ll be a non-stop mix, though, since the track lengths are quite long.

Anime*Max presents Joshikousei Band!

Previously known as Anime*Max 2. The new title reflects the fact that the album will feature an amateur, high school girl band. Honestly, 2500 yen for 7 songs is kind of a rip. Tracks 8-14 comprise a non-stop mix.

The album is produced by the makers of the first Anime*Max, but judging by the samples they’ve dropped the eurobeat/hyper techno sound in favor of J-Rock.

The list looks pretty solid so far, avoiding the usual anime standards (“Aquarion,” “Zankoku,”). Okay, it does have “Tamashii no Refrain,” but most of the other tracks aren’t too overplayed.

This anime theme compilation was originally supposed to be released last summer but was delayed. “Bacchikoi!!!” by Dev Parade was originally scheduled to appear, though it’s unclear if that’ll still happen. The only announced artist so far is Happy Transmission. They haven’t mentioned yet exactly which of their songs will appear, but I’m quite fond of their “Tamashii no Refrain” cover:

Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance Best The Movie 2

The follow-up release to SATB The Movie starts the new year off with more popular anime movie themes. The tracks are almost all new except for track 17, “One more time, One more chance,” which previously appeared on UmaUma Trance 4. However, this version will have new vocals from Takanori instead of Nine.

Again, B.U.S. is noticeably absent, no doubt busy working on his album.

Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance Complete Best 2

SATB Complete Best 2 was originally scheduled for release on December 16, but was delayed at the last minute to January 20 of next year. I’m not sure what the reason is for the delay, but I doubt the track list will change between now and January.

Speed Anime Trance Complete Best 2 serves up repeats from various SATB releases of the last year. SATB 7 gets the most love with 8 tracks, though SATB 8 is close behind with 7. SATB 6 only gets 4, however, which happens to be the same number of tracks that The Movie has represented. Meanwhile, Ecstasy gets 1 while Ecstasy Second Season gets 2. Surprisingly, the very first Code Speed Anime Trance Best is also sort of represented, with new remixes of three classic tracks. I guess that explains why the special figure is of Aria, one of the cover models for the first SATB. As far as I can tell, there’s only one new track. There don’t appear to be any new remixes, but we won’t know for sure until the album is out.

As with the first Complete Best, the sequel comes in two flavors. The limited edition is limited to only 12,000 copies and comes with a figure of Aria as well as sexier cover art. The regular cover has the girls in their original outfits. It’s a little strange that they have the cover model from Ecstasy so prominent, since there’s only one track from that CD.

Huh, it looks like Quake finally decided to release an Anime House album after all. And in a surprising move, it’ll also serve as a solo artist album, as B.U.S. will be in charge of all the songs. I guess that explains why he hasn’t appeared much on the last few Exit Trance releases.

The album listing on CDJapan claims it’ll feature “Anime Song × Cafe Music,” so make of that what you will.
